Worship September 24th

Lesson:  Matthew 20:1-16

Message: “Love isn’t fair”

Our Scripture this week is a difficult one as it throws us again into a space of cultural “fairness” at the expense of divine grace.  Last week we heard Jesus’ words on forgiveness and witnessed to the disciple’s struggle to understand this infinite, agape love relative to their human experience of betrayal.  And we considered the value of our “Oneness” – both as a whole self and as a beloved community – in a broken world.  This week Matt will take us even deeper into these stories of Agape love that Jesus shares with his dear followers.

… and since Matt is preaching, I will be teaching Sunday School!  I have some fun activities planned to help our “littles” understand how MUCH God loves us and what it could look like for each of us to love one another in the same way.

A couple of community notes: LOTS of Outreach activities coming up this week and next!  Scroll down to sign up for Apple Picking with the Boston Gleaners and to help out with our Co-BBQ with Chaplains on the Way on Oct 1st!

See you Sunday!

Live Stream Information
We will continue streaming our worship on both Zoom and Facebook Live. Please share these links with your friends. Bear in mind that we cannot share the Zoom links publicly (to keep from being Zoom bombed), so please share it person to person rather than posting it on Facebook/Twitter, or other public social media. It’s fine to share the Facebook link broadly and publicly.

Note: that we continue to work on streaming as we make improvements to the sanctuary sound system.
