Ministries

LGBTQ Justice & Inclusion

Recognizing that the church historically has not always welcomed all persons, we affirm the God-given worth and dignity of every individual as our sister or brother, and we welcome all persons, including those who are gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender to the full life and ministry of the United Parish of Auburndale. We celebrate all relationships founded on the principles of God’s love, compassion and faithfulness and embrace the responsibility to work against all forms of discrimination.

Music

The adult choir, under the direction of Berklee College professor and composer, Allen LeVines, shares a wide variety of music for worship. The choir rehearses each Sunday 9am to 9:45am (childcare provided) is open to all teens and adults who love music!

Children & Youth

Continued growth in the knowledge and love of God is of prime importance to our congregation. Our Christian Education program is available to all who seek to begin or continue their faith journey.

Outreach

We are cooks, painters, pumpkin-haulers, teachers, and each of us, in our own unique way, reflect the compassion of Christ!

The Betty Meyer Gallery

In 2013, The United Parish of Auburndale opened the Betty Meyer Gallery in honor of dedicated congregant, art critic and educator, Betty Meyer. In the 1960’s and 70’s, Meyer brought art to the local community through her active role inviting artists to exhibit and talk about their work. Upon her death, several UPA members became interested in transforming a beautiful space in the church building known as “The Parish Hall” into a dedicated gallery for neighbors to view, enjoy, and discuss the work of local artists.
