Lesson: Isaiah 11:1-2, 5-6, 9
Message: All God’s Children
I hope you all are ready to have some fun in worship! This Sunday we’ll be celebrating God’s impossible, world-flipping love for all of creation by BLESSING OUR ANIMALS! Matt and I fought to the end over who would get to preach this one and came up with the compromise that we would share the sermon so get ready for some back and forth theological thought, reflection, and, likely goofiness. This will be an intergenerational service so children of all ages are invited to stay in the service (and we’ve adjusted a few things to allow for all ages to fully participate!)
Seeing as we’re blessing your furry family members, you’re welcome (using your judgment regarding their temperament and social abilities) to bring your pets to worship. If your pet is like mine and would not ever sit through a worship service without several attempts at eating her pew neighbor, there will be time after the service to go home and bring your pet back for a blessing. STUFFIES/LOVIES ARE WELCOME AND WILL ALSO BE BLESSED!
Your clergy staff are really looking forward to sharing God’s love with our four-footed siblings! See you Sunday!
Prelude: “Bethany” Lowell Mason

Meditation: “Love” Jean Goeboro Sung by Chihiro Asano, mezzo soprano
Postlude: “Menuet in F” Henry Carey
Live Stream Information
We will continue streaming our worship on both Zoom and Facebook Live. Please share these links with your friends. Bear in mind that we cannot share the Zoom links publicly (to keep from being Zoom bombed), so please share it person to person rather than posting it on Facebook/Twitter, or other public social media. It’s fine to share the Facebook link broadly and publicly.
Note: that we continue to work on streaming as we make improvements to the sanctuary sound system.
