Scripture: Matthew 20:1-16
Message: Not Your Father’s Salvation
One of the primary beliefs of our faith is that we are “saved” by Jesus Christ. But what does this mean? The concept and pursuit of salvation has, across Christianity, turned into a competition for God’s attention and love… as if the Divine Creator could ever be manipulated by its creation. But still, the world is harsh and temptation towards power and defining ourselves against another are prevalent. With the world violently divided it seems like we ought to think a little bit about what it means to be saved. I bet what I bring on Sunday is not what you’ll be expecting to hear.
Just a reminder to read the Newsletter each week as there are LOTS of events, opportunities to serve, and educational forums in the forthcoming weeks.
See you Sunday!
Peace,
Cheryl
