Scripture: John 15:9-17

Message:  Outreach Forum!

Blessings and grace to you all!
It’s wonderful to be back among you all after a transformational pilgrimage around Spain studying the venerable St. Teresa of Avila. Turns out this forebearer of the faith was quite a woman! As a sister of the Carmelite monastic community, Teresa received God’s call directly and physically and answered that call by speaking out about the worthiness of women among all people to sit at the feet of the divine. Not only did she speak this truth but went on to create 20 separate communities all over Spain each holding the same purpose of connection with Christ for the sake of the faith of the world. I’m looking forward to sharing pictures and stories of our journey  with you in the next few weeks!

This Sunday is a VERY BIG DEAL! First and foremost, it is our Outreach forum, which means 4 organizations that we are currently supporting will be present and will share some of their story with us in worship. SECOND, all seven of the McNeil children will be baptized into the grace and joy of Christ’s love! As if these were not enough, we will also be joining around the table in communion.

Can’t wait to see you all this Sunday and to celebrate all that we are in love and mercy!

Prelude: “Fugue in F”   Johann Pachelbe
Anthem: “Now”  Carl Schalk
Meditation:  “Prelude and Fughetta” Johann Fischer
Postlude: “Herr Jesu Christ mein leberis licht –  Lord Jesus Christ, the light of my life”  J. S. Bach
