June 15 Worship

This Week at UPA

June 15 Worship

Message: What Is Freedom?

Scripture:  Galatians 5:13-25

Blessings and grace to you all. This Sunday, June 15, 2025 is our last in the sanctuary before the summer months. On June 22, 2025 we will begin worshiping in the Parish Hall where it is more intimate and casual and COOLER! Matt and I are excited to share that our “theme” for the summer months will be “Theology in Pop Music.” While our sermons will continue to be centered around biblical text, we will be considering these holy words through the lyrics and music of several pop songs from across the decades. Expect to hear music or lyrical quotes from the U2, Simon and Garfunkel, Netanyahu, and Taylor Swift!

This week we’ll honor Juneteenth with African-American spirituals and a recognition of the value of freedom in this fragile democracy.

See you Sunday!
Peace,
Cheryl
