This long-standing tradition of dining in community with your fellow UPA members is an opportunity for us to come together in groups that we might not self-select. This is the perfect way to get to know each other in a relaxed and enjoyable environment – no committee standing necessary!
This is how it works: Roles will be assigned two or three days before the event (Wednesday 3/20 or Thursday 3/21)
Hosts: If you are a host…
- You will not be told WHO will be coming to your house, only the number of guests arriving.
- Hosts provide an hors d’oeuvre or two, a set table, and beverages (wine, and/or soft drinks, coffee and tea).
Guests: If you are a guest….
- You will not be told your host’s name, only their address and a phone number
- You will be asked to bring one part of the meal
- Salad/vegetable with rolls/bread
- Main dish or casserole
- Dessert
- You will not be told who else is coming, however you will be told how many servings to provide.
- For large groups more than one guest may be asked to bring a main dish.
- Guests are welcome to bring a bottle of wine if they wish.
Note: This is an adult only event, so be sure to secure childcare. If you need help signing up, we will have help available at coffee hour on 3/10 and 3/17.
