Message: Transfiguring, Abiding Love
Blessings and grace to you all!
This Sunday we will read the Gospel story called “Jesus’ Transfiguration.” Likely the only circumstance in LIFE that you will use this non-word (or hear it used), this is actually a very significant moment in the stories of Jesus life and ministry. In just a few short verses we are called to consider the distance between divinity and humanity, the roles Jesus will play in eternity, and his identity as it relates to the Divine Spirit that is God. Seems like a lot, but there’s silliness in it as well (how would YOU react to suddenly being in the very real presence of the Saints of your faith?!) and Matt, who is at the pulpit this Sunday, hopes to encourage your imagination, opening our minds to how we might know Jesus too!
