The Youth Group meets at church Sunday night for dinner and an art project! Anine and Pei will be leading Sunday school, doing a number of creative projects: an art project lifting up the non-profit organizations that UPA supports, a song (led by Pei), and a dance (led by Anine).
The theme this Sunday is connected to one of my favorite scriptures in the Bible from 1 John Chapter 4: “perfect love casts out fear.” The trajectory of our faith walk is always moving in the direction of love. For too long, many Christian circles have given the message that we are to fear God. Jesus’ invitation through his life and teachings was first and foremost to love God. On Sunday, we will explore some of the images that have and have not been helpful on our journey towards loving and connecting with the God of agape love.
