I love this Sunday’s scripture on the “Road to Emmaus.” This is one of those stories that we can sit with in lectio divina- a slow, devotional form of reading and contemplating scripture, poetry, or other sacred readings. As we have been considering our biases together as a community, let us consider the role of our level of consciousness as we work towards personal and societal transformation. In the words of Albert Einstein, “No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it.”
This Sunday, connected to the “Road to Emmaus” the children will be reflecting on what it means to have a wellspring of love within us in Sunday School.
