Shore Educational Collaborative in Chelsea, MA serves 225 students with special needs (Autism, Cognitive Impairments, Medically Fragile, Social/Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities) ages 3-22. Most of these students are from Chelsea and the surrounding towns. On their “Back-To-School” night on September 17, 2026, they will distribute backpacks and school supplies to their students in need. That’s where we come in! They need approximately 25 backpacks and 25 Staples gift cards (maximum of $25) for school supplies. Backpacks should not be more than $50 each. Here are two examples of backpacks that “fit the bill”. Underarmor UA Hustle 6.0, which comes in many colors OR Amazon has the MATEIN 15.6 inch Laptop Backpack. We will collect them in the Faith Formation Office and Elle Wilson will distribute them at the school’s Back To School Night. All backpacks and gift cards should be donated by our Welcome Back Sunday on September 13, 2026.
