Message: Unity through Equity
I’m BACK! And feeling renewed, well rested, and well read. In case you were wondering, the Jersey Shore remains as it should be: over-tanned, loud, humid, and classless. As I said, these are my people!
This Sunday I feel inspired to talk about the unifying message our Christian scripture maintains throughout. I feel like there’s a counter “Christian message” insisting that we must buy or earn our way into this beloved space (referred to as “Heaven” or the “Kingdom”) but, if we believe in a grace inspired, loving God, how can that even be when there are so many on this Earth – God’s own created – who will never have a reason or opportunity to even know of Jesus’ word? And how can that be when there are so many other religions that proclaim the same values of justice and love but without Jesus himself or his teachings?
What then is this “Heaven,” this “Kingdom on Earth? Let’s talk about this on Sunday! Matt and I have a song for you!
