Message: HOLY HUMOR SUNDAY!
Seriously, if we didn’t laugh, we just cry our eyes out. No matter how bad, how serious, how overwhelming life feels, we human beings were made to laugh. So why not do so in church?!
This Sunday we’ll be celebrating Holy Humor. Feel free to DRESS UP! And come ready to laugh and be silly. The service will run as it typically does including communion, prayers, a time of reflection and music, though there will be some noticeable shifts. It will be intergenerational and so we have invited our children to help out with some of the jokes. If you’ve got a good joke you’re welcome to help out too. Just let us know!
The truth is that we can laugh and cry, hope and fear, wonder and know all at the same time so why not practice it in the presence of a loving God?
