Message: Lift Up Your Eyes
Scriptures: Isaiah 60:1-6 and Matthew 2:1-12
Happy New Year!!!
Traditionally the church has recognized “Epiphany” or the visit of the Magi on the 12th day of Christmas, which this year would be January 6th. SO! We’ll be celebrating this piece of the story of the birth of Jesus the Christ this Sunday. At its core, the story is about this new light that cannot be overcome by the darkness – a light that is exactly NOT what the world would expect to be their (and our!) savior.
Join us this Sunday as we lift our eyes from the busy-ness of life and holiday and our concerns of what will be, refocusing them toward the star that, if we believe, can lead us to a NEW way that is love.
