Scriptures: Ezekiel 2:1-5 and Mark 6:1-13
Message: Preaching to a Tough Crowd
This Sunday Linda Wood- Boyle will be preaching. Sunday will also be Communion Sunday. For those who will be joining us via Zoom or Facebook bring some bread and juice to participate in this meal.
There are multiple examples throughout the Bible of how it is difficult sometimes to be a prophet. In the second book of Ezekiel, he is asked to deliver God’s unhappiness with the people of Israel. God goes as far as to call them, stubborn and rebellious. And God insists that Ezekiel go and challenge them. Not an easy task. An addition in the gospel of Mark, Jesus tells his disciples to go and leave everything at home leave their families with only their basics needs and knock on every door to convince those who are skeptical that Jesus indeed is son of God.
God asks us to have some difficult conversations sometimes, but we must remember that God gives us the tools that we need and the Grace that we need to have those challenging discussions
