Dear UPA families,
I look forward to seeing you for our Welcome Back this Sunday!! Pei and I, along with our high school volunteers Grace and Charlotte, look forward to leading a Sunday School lesson during church on “Who and What is God?” We have a new “Prayground” in the Centenary Room, which families with small children are welcome to use, in addition to the Prayground in the back of the Sanctuary. Many, many thanks to Sherwood for working hard on lovingly creating this new Prayground for the children and families of this church community.
This Sunday after church is our Youth Group kickoff! We’ll meet for lunch, talk a little about the awesome stuff we have planned for this year, and play games!
Next Sunday, September 17th is the evening kickoff of this year’s confirmation process. Please see details for that below., and feel free to contact me with any questions.
Lastly, I hope you can join me in several weeks for the continuation of the “Engaging Christian Contemplative Practices” series exploring the “Tree of Contemplative Practices.” You are welcome, even if you didn’t attend the spring sessions! Our gathering on September 28th will be focused on the Movement branch, and will include a labyrinth walk and a practice from our new student Minister Anine de Grood, who we are excited to welcome this Sunday!
